About the Role

This is not a traditional BI or dashboarding role.

You'll join a collaborative engineering team responsible for building analytics capabilities that are embedded directly into a customer-facing platform. You'll own projects from requirements through deployment, partnering with engineering, product, and stakeholders to design scalable solutions that customers rely on every day.

The ideal candidate enjoys solving ambiguous problems, has exceptional SQL skills, and thinks like a software engineer-building reusable analytics products rather than one-off reports.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable analytics products that integrate directly into customer-facing applications
  • Develop complex SQL transformations and data models across large transactional datasets
  • Partner with engineering and product teams to translate business problems into technical solutions
  • Own projects from discovery through deployment and ongoing improvement
  • Design user-focused analytics experiences that drive customer value
  • Contribute to data architecture, modeling, and software development best practices
  • Work independently to investigate problems, evaluate trade-offs, and deliver high-quality solutions
  • Collaborate through code reviews, version control, and modern engineering workflows

Must Haves

  • 5+ years of Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or related experience
  • Expert-level SQL with experience building complex transformations and scalable data models
  • Experience working with large transactional datasets
  • Product-oriented mindset with experience building customer-facing analytics solutions
  • Experience working throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence technical decisions
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity and taking ownership of solutions
  • Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Vertica, or similar

Nice to Have

  • Healthcare data experience (claims, healthcare services, or transactional healthcare data strongly preferred)
  • Python
  • Tableau or Looker
  • Git and version control
  • Linux or shell scripting
  • Experience designing user-facing analytics products
