This is a hands-on analytical role sitting closely with Product, Commercial and Partnership teams. Freelance CRM Account Manager
£300 Day Rate | Flexible Working | Part-Time | 3 month initial contract | UK Based Only
This is an opportunity to join a growing specialist CRM and retention consultancy supporting ambitious DTC and e-commerce brands. You’ll take ownership of client relationships, coordinate delivery across an established execution team, and play a key role in ensuring CRM programmes deliver measurable commercial impact.
The Company
They are a specialist CRM and retention consultancy working with e-commerce and direct-to-consumer brands to improve customer engagement, retention and lifetime value. Their expertise spans lifecycle marketing, customer data and CRM strategy, with a particular focus on helping brands maximise performance through email and retention channels. With strong delivery resources already in place, they are now looking for a client-focused contractor to bridge the gap between strategy, execution and client communications.
The Role and Deliverables
- Act as the day-to-day point of contact for a portfolio of e-commerce and DTC clients.
- Manage client communications, ensuring requests, priorities and expectations are handled effectively.
- Coordinate with CRM specialists and delivery teams to keep campaigns, reporting and projects on track.
- Translate strategic objectives into clear deliverables and briefs for internal teams.
- Support clients with CRM, email marketing and retention-related queries, providing informed guidance and recommendations.
- Monitor campaign performance and communicate key insights, risks and opportunities to clients and stakeholders.
Your Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in client account management within an agency, CRM, digital marketing or e-commerce environment.
- Good working knowledge of Klaviyo and a solid understanding of email marketing, lifecycle marketing and retention.
- Experience managing relationships with DTC or e-commerce brands.
- Ability to confidently discuss campaign performance, commercial priorities and CRM initiatives with clients.
- Proven capability coordinating multiple stakeholders, projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong judgement, communication skills and the ability to operate independently.
- Experience balancing client expectations with delivery requirements and business priorities.
- Comfortable working in a remote, entrepreneurial environment with a high level of autonomy.

They are a specialist agency focused on CRM and customer engagement strategies for ecommerce businesses. Working with leading CRM platforms including Klaviyo, Braze, and Customer.io, they help clients maximise customer engagement and revenue performance. As the business continues to grow, they are looking for an experienced CRM professional who can take ownership of client relationships and become a trusted extension of the team.
The Role and Deliverables
- Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of ecommerce clients, managing day-to-day relationships and communications.
- Own client conversations around CRM strategy, campaign performance, customer engagement, and revenue opportunities.
- Manage ad hoc client requests, including promotional campaigns, product launches, and performance-driven CRM initiatives.
- Translate client requirements into clear briefs for internal execution teams.
- Set and manage client expectations, ensuring projects are delivered effectively and meet business objectives.
- Support new business activity by participating in client discussions, answering questions, and helping secure new accounts.
Your Skills & Experience
- Strong CRM marketing experience gained within an agency environment.
- Experience working with ecommerce brands and understanding the commercial impact of CRM activity.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Klaviyo, Braze, or Customer.io.
- Proven ability to manage multiple client relationships and operate as a trusted advisor.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience in account management, CRM consulting, customer engagement, lifecycle marketing, or similar client-facing roles.
- Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of client outcomes with minimal oversight.
- Ability to balance strategic discussions with commercial objectives and client expectations.
